Andrew and Katherine met at my church, but began their friendship through a mutual friend who helped them bond over their love of riding motorcycles all over scenic San Luis Obispo County. This blossomed into a beautiful friendship. Eventually, Andrew asked Katherine to join him on a beach day on a Tuesday, since they both had Tuesdays off. Thus began the march towards a beautiful romantic relationship.
On the day Andrew asked Katherine to marry him, which was also a Tuesday, he wanted to do something special. Knowing she had been raised as something of a cowgirl, he wanted to do something special for her, so he took her horseback riding at Twisselman Ranch in remote California Valley. They rode through some rolling hills to a remote tree (my hiding spot), the only tree for miles, near a dry creekbed and a herd of cattle (she loves cows), where they stopped, got off their horses to "check out the cows." There, he asked her to spend the rest of his life with her, to which she enthusiastically agreed.
