My sister Stacy met Forrest under the redwoods at a summer camp near Occidental. So it was quite appropriate to do our shoot in a picturesque redwood forest near there. I've always loved the muted dappled sunlight redwood canopies produce, and we found some nice spots to shoot. I'm just glad he came along for the shoot so willingly, otherwise she would have forced Forrest into the forest.
Driving out to the coast, we could see the cloudy sky turn a dark grey, but there was just enough of a gap above the horizon. While the generous sun poked through the clouds just after arriving at the beach, the wind was unfortunately not very cooperative.
Before they dated, Stacy and Forrest were really close friends. It's always wonderful to see great romantic relationships that stem from close friendships, and it's clear to see they're perfect for each other. They're so silly and natural around each other, but also able to have deep conversations. I can't wait for the wedding next year!
